I love life, and all the things in it that make mine so
complete These are some of the things that interest
me as well as my
favorite of each.
- Movies - Giant,
Casablanca, 9½ Weeks, Gone With The Wind, Wit, Henry V, The
Rock, and
The Motorcycle Diaries (SA).
- Books - Most of the
books I read are non-fiction and relate to the strength of
the human mind and spirit, from the psychology of icons to
the history of gay leathermen.
- Food - I
love Italian food, particularly Manicotti and veggie pizza.
I love fresh seafood, particularly scallops. I have a coffee
mug at every location I even think I might start the day out
at - you do the math.
- Music - My favorite
style of music is jazz. Amongst my favorite performers are
Luther VanDross, Eva Cassidy, Tony Bennett, Michael Franks,
Frank Sinatra, Sting, Earth Wind & Fire, Randi Crawford,
Boney James and
Patrick O'Hearn
- Flowers - Haliconia, protea, ginger, and
bird of paradise.
- Politics - I am a conservative Democrat.
This means that I believe that I don't have to support your
point of view, nor you mine. However, we both need to support
the system that allows us to live by our own values, and
allows us to respectfully debate our differences.
If you don't vote, just remember, your adversaries do.
- Tattoos - I have eight,
so it is no wonder that I find the art of tattoos
intriguing. What a person puts in permanent ink on
their body says a lot about them. I have a theory,
that it becomes a part of who you are, not in the literal
sense, so much as a spiritual one.
- Greek Mythology - Most
of the tattoos I have represent characters from Greek
(Roman) mythology. These are the tales that make us
look past common character studies, and see that in all
things strong and beautiful lies a weakness, and that in all
things mild and tranquil lies an unseen strength.
- Art - If I have been to
your city, I have been to your museum. I am not, nor
want to be an art expert. I find a piece of art that
moves me one way or another, and just look at it for a
while. Art takes me outside of myself. Among my
favorite artist are Raphael, Renoir, Dali, Charles Bibbs,
and Michael Parkes.
